Adjunct Kline School of Law Trial Team Coach at Drexel

The Trial Advocacy Coach is responsible for helping J.D. students prepare for and participate in trial advocacy competitions. Responsibilities may include teaching days evenings and nights with the potential for in-person only online only or a combination. The Trial Advocacy Coach will work with the Director of Trial Advocacy to coach students and to otherwise implement the mission of the Kline School of Law.Essential FunctionsTeaching students to analyze a case fileTeaching students to craft themes and theories of a case fileTeaching students how to argue oral motions in limineTeaching students to draft direct and cross-examinations opening statements and closing argumentsConducting weekly practices with student either in person or via ZoomAttending the trial advocacy competition(s) with the student team membersEvaluate student achievement of curricular objectivesMaintain communication with the Director of Trial Advocacy and the Dean for Academic Affairs regarding any course competition or student issuesPerform other similar duties as assignedRequired QualificationsJ.D.
