Job Description:POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Dean-Chief Academic Officer this role will provide instruction in clinical skills.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching (100%)Works with faculty to provide hands-on student training in clinical skills such as procedures, history and physical assessment, and diagnostic testing.Assists in monitoring the progress of all students to ensure successful progress toward graduationDevelops preparatory material, such as lectures, and then delivers to the students in assigned courses.Perform other related duties, as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/AQUALIFICATION(S): Health professional with the following degrees: DO, MD, EMT, APN, PAClinical experience providing direct patient care their specialtyHave excellent verbal and written communication skillsBe detailed oriented and have excellent interpersonal skillsPlease provide examples of accomplishments, skills, and publicationsPreferred QualificationsExperience in precepting Osteopathic medical students in a clinical setting.Experience as an instructor in a clinical skills course or CME courseKEY COMPETENCIES:Leadership abilities in influencing and shaping performanceStrong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to contribute to organizational growth and developmentStrong team & people management skillsStrong, effective, and diplomatic oral communication skillsPublic speaking skillsDISCLAIMER:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
