Adjunct Job Title:Adjunct, Respiratory CareAdjunct Job Description:Position Summary:This position supports the Respiratory Care program. The adjunct faculty member teaches in the classroom and laboratory setting, when needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The following are the functions essential to performing this job:1. Teach classroom and laboratory courses related to all subject matter in Respiratory Care2. Facilitate student mastery of core learning outcomes using the most relevant and scholarly tools and technology available3. Evaluate the student for appropriate psychomotor, affective, and cognitive skills4. Demonstrate respect for students as individuals5. Communicate student progress to the Program Manager6. Demonstrate excellence in instructor performance as reflected by the majority of positive responses on instructor/course evaluationsRequired Minimum Qualifications:1. Associate Degree2. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care3. Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner4. Obtain Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner License within six month of hire (if current license is out of state5. Three (3) years of full time work experience as a Respiratory Care PractitionerDesired Qualifications:1. One (1) year classroom teaching experience2. One (1) year intensive care unit (ICU) experience3. Experience using Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Blackboard Learning Management System4.
