Position Title:Adjunct- Sociology and Criminal JusticeTime Type:Part timePosition Summary and Qualifications:Adjunct criminal justice professor to teach a GIS course tailored for Sociology and Criminal Justice majors.The Sociology and Criminal Justice Department is in need of a professor to teach classes in sociology and criminal justice.Applicants must have experience teaching at the university level.Most courses will be taught in-person at the undergraduate level. As such applicants need to be local to our Hawk Hill campus.There is the potential to teach online and graduate classes.Courses could include intro to sociology intro to American Criminal Justice and upper level electives that are listed online in our departments course catalog.Courses will be offered in the spring of 2026 with the potential for renewal.Minimum QualificationsMA MS in sociology or criminal justice or JDPreferredPhD in Criminal Justice .Saint Josephs University is a private Catholic Jesuit institution and we expect members of our community to be knowledgeable about and to make a positive contribution to our mission.
