Administrative Assistant at Brookfield Elementary at Orange Southwest School District

Brookfield Elementary School seeks an administrative assistant for our small caring and friendly school. This position requires a calm personable unflappably professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is kind and patient with children and communicates well with parents and staff members. This is a full-time school-year position with school breaks off. Some additional flexible days are required in the summer. Primary function of the job includes assisting staff with timesheets coordinating substitutes purchasing supplies answering phones and returning calls maintaining strict front door security assisting in communication to families maintaining student files helping to organize dismissal and field trips stepping in when the nurse is not available and other duties assigned by the principal. Other required qualities:Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skillsPunctuality and reliabilityA positive can-do attitude with the willingness to step in whenever neededAbility to maintain confidentialityOutstanding tech skills including the use of Facebook Word Excel Tyler system and GoogleThe ability to work independently take initiative organize and manage multiple tasks and problem-solve with minimal supervisionFirst aid/CPR certification Three years of relevant experience degree preferred.
