OverviewThe Department of Human Resources' Center for Achievement in Public Services (CAPS) is seeking an Administrative Services Coordinator to join our team. Our team provides workforce development services to state agencies and departments. Our office is located at 32 College Street in Montpelier.The Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for customer service and administrative support for CAPS. Work also includes ordering and coding invoices, purchasing office supplies, inventory management, managing and tracking attendance/completion of training, answering phones and emails, greeting customers and other assigned tasks.The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, maintain a positive and professional attitude, have advanced working knowledge of MS-Office and enjoy learning and using new systems. You must apply online to be considered.Environmental FactorsWork is performed in a standard office setting.Minimum QualificationsThree (3) years or more of full-time college level study OR a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field.ORTwo (2) years of full-time college level study OR an Associate's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.OROne (1) year of full-time college level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.ORHigh School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.OROne (1) year or more of experience as an Administrative Services Coordinator I with the State of Vermont.NOTE: Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative support includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of or prior experience working in a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.Special RequirementsFor some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.Total CompensationAs a State employee you are offered a great career opportunity, but it's more than a paycheck.
