Position Summary:The Temporary Confined Space Attendant / Administrative Support employee will provide safety support during confined space operations and assist with general administrative and production-related tasks when not actively serving as a confined space attendant. This role is critical in ensuring the safety of employees performing work in confined spaces while also contributing to organizational efficiency through various support functions.Primary Responsibilities:Confined Space Attendant Duties:Monitor and safeguard the safety and health of the confined space entrant(s) during all confined space operations.Maintain continuous communication with entrants and ensure compliance with all confined space entry procedures.Be familiar with and follow the companys Emergency Response Plan and Safety Training Handout.Never enter the confined space under any circumstances.Maintain awareness of all hazards and monitor atmospheric testing results.Administrative and General Support Duties:Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry document organization and recordkeeping.Support the Materials Manager to help locate and organize parts and materials used in production and/or maintenance.Maintain orderly work areas and support continuous improvement efforts.Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental needs.Qualifications and Requirements:Completion of company-provided Confined Space Attendant Safety Training.Ability to remain alert and attentive during confined space operations.Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Basic computer literacy and organizational skills.Must be reliable safety-conscious and able to work independently.Work Conditions:Work may occur in both office and industrial environments.Must be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses hearing protection and steel-toed footwear as required.May be required to stand or remain stationary for extended periods during confined space activities.
