We leverage Brown's intellectual centers of excellence, rigorous teaching, and developmental approach to learning in a range of programs, including serving students outside of traditional degree programs. We partner with Brown departments, centers, institutes, and schools to develop degree and non-degree programs, and to support the recruitment, retention, and placement success of master's students, including traditional, non-traditional, and professional students.Responsibilities:The Admissions Coordinator supports admission and enrollment efforts for all master's programs managed by the School of Professional Studies, with a focus on application completion, successful review of applications, and matriculation of admitted students. The Admissions Coordinator serves as a liaison between the School of Professional Studies and academic programs; maintains inquiry, applicant and degree program data in the application CRM (Technolutions Slate); and regularly communicates with students via ad hoc and scheduled messages to answer questions and provide information (application deadlines, missing materials). Each Admissions Coordinator works with a variety of master's programs and position functions may vary by program category, number of intakes per academic year, and program modality (on-campus, low-residency hybrid, fully online). Qualifications:Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of experience in higher education admissions, marketing, recruiting, or student services, or equivalent of education and experience requiredJob CompetenciesExcellent planning, organizational, team-building, and stakeholder engagement skillsExcellent writing and verbal communication skillsAbility to perform and manage project details under tight deadlines, including multi-tasking between projects with differing or competing timelinesPositive team-centered attitudeClient-centered orientation with impeccable customer service skillsAbility to problem solve effectively in complex and sometimes stressful situationsSuperior computing abilities including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps for Education and basic technology troubleshooting experiencePreferredExperience with Slate, Banner, and/or other student CRM/SIS systems and databasesExperience with learning management systems and other educational technologiesKnowledge of college admissions and the admissions funnel, preferably for graduate and professional programsSalary Grade:8Additional Information: Applicants are asked to include a resume and cover letter.All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.Brown University is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. This is a hybrid position that will require 3 days of work per week on Brown University's Providence Campus.
