Job Description: The Office of Admissions is seeking an entry-level Admissions Officer I to support recruitment and outreach within the athletic admissions unit at the University of Florida. This exciting position offers the opportunity to work closely under the guidance of the Associate Director of Admission for Athletics, contributing to the coordination of admission for student-athletes and assisting with planning and execution of high school visits, college fairs, and information sessions. Admissions Officers will also build meaningful relationships with prospective students, families, and school counselors while supporting NCAA eligibility processes and athletic certification requirements. The role involves occasional travel (approximately 2-4 weeks annually), including overnight trips within the U.S. and possible international travel. Key responsibilities include: Recruitment and Outreach Represent UF at high school visits, college fairs, and other outreach activities to promote multiple admission pathways (UF residential, UF Online, Innovation Academy, PaCE). Host virtual and in-person information sessions, yield events, and other engagement activities. Participate in admission presentations to campus visitors at the UF Welcome Center. Support recruitment and engagement efforts for prospective student-athletes and other assigned populations. Build and maintain relationships with students, families, and school counselors to provide guidance throughout the admissions process. Assist with scheduling and logistics for recruitment activities; travel up to 2-4 weeks annually during fall, spring, and summer cycles; operate a state vehicle and maintain a valid passport for international travel. Provide general college admissions counseling to Admission Office visitors. Admissions Processing and Athletic Certification Collect, verify, and maintain academic data related to NCAA eligibility. Assist with transcript evaluations for official visits by recruited student-athletes. Prepare semester lists for athletic certification. Review documentation submitted by applicants for completeness and accuracy. Respond to inquiries regarding UF admission policies and processes via phone, email, virtual platforms, and in-person. Assist with holistic review of freshman, transfer, and graduate applications. Data Management and Reporting Maintain accurate records of student and school contacts using CRM systems. Compile visit data to support territory planning and enrollment initiatives. Share updates with leadership through weekly activity and annual reports. Other Duties Participate in training and professional development to enhance admissions knowledge and skills. Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned by admissions leadership.
