The position is expected to onboard at an American Rheinmetall location and transition into primarily being located in Warsaw Poland for an 18 month assignment. Further position details will be provided during screening.JOB SUMMARY:The Manufacturing Project Lead is responsible for leading a cross functional team of manufacturing operations personnel in support of various programs with ownership of cost and schedule. The Project Lead role will support one or more programs and report to the Manufacturing Program ManagerESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manages the proposal execution and closure of Projects.Responsible for preparing manufacturing bids for new business proposals and/or request for informationDevelop maintain and lead a team to execute manufacturing and material schedulesManage manufacturing cost accounts; and report findings of earned value dataSupport material management and manufacturing support staffCommunicate program status to program managers manufacturing business leadership and customers.Implements new manufacturing systems including generating supporting operational documentationDevelop and monitor budget requirements; control expenditures to meet approved budgets including direct/indirect salary indirect non-salary and capital expenditure.Ensure American Rheinmetall policies are being practiced by all personnel; make recommendations and implement procedures to improve quality.Assists engineering and plants in the evaluation of new manufacturing systemsInterfaces with engineering departments quality control manufacturing purchasing or other groups as required in order to complete project plansSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:NoMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThorough understanding of Project Management principlesMust be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settingsMust demonstrate an enthusiasm to engage with and support overseas colleague; both written and verballyHigh level of self-motivation and standards with the ability to multi-taskMust be able to coordinate and perform more complex cross functional tasks in support of the operations/manufacturing organizationMust be able to lead the development of more complex manufacturing and operations plans schedules and facilitates assigned projectsRepresent the organization as the prime production/manufacturing representative contact on contracts projects and proposalsMust be able to demonstrate the ability to be the primary point of contact for cost/schedule performance and resource data managementAbility to maintain capital equipment and overhead budget requirementsAbility to coordinate designs with manufacturing engineering to ensure the practicality of the design and assists in the solution of production difficulties encountered in manufacturingMust be able to review and approve specifications and drawings for technical accuracy and content as applicableAbility to assist in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Understanding of mechanical and electrical designs to drive Producibility and cost reduction principles.EDUCATIONBachelor of Science in Engineering Manufacturing or Business AdministrationEXPERIENCE5-7 years of relevant experience Automotive and ground combat vehicle experience.Experience working in DoD and/or Military Operations requiredExperience working as a Project Management Professional (PMP)BACKGROUND PREREQUISITESMust undergo and meet company standards for background check employment verification reference checks and controlled substance testing.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMasters Degree Engineering/Operations and/or Masters Business Administration5-7 years of relevant experience as a Project Management Professional (PMP)WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSWith or without reasonable accommodation requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential addition to other demands the demands of the job include:Continuously SittingAbility to travel up to 15%Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
