DescriptionAs an Advanced Mechanical Engineer - Conveyor System Design and Estimating here at Honeywell you will come to work with a collaborative cross-functional team that is designing and innovating and delivering high-quality solutions to enhance customer experience and drive business growth. You will report directly to our Senior Application Engineer Supervisor and youll work out of our Mason OH location on a Hybrid work schedule.In this role you will collaborate with both sales and customers to understand project requirements then meet those needs through mechanical designs for both new conveyor systems and modifications to existing systems. You will take ownership of your design throughout the pre-sale process coordinating a cross-functional team through cost estimating proposal document creation and leadership approvals.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesTranslate customer needs to usable design requirementsDesign systems utilizingHoneywell standard offerings and outside purchased productsBalance design optimization with customer budgetary constraintsEnsure cost and schedule estimates are consistent with historical company performanceAssist in writing proposals that are both technically correct and easily readable by customersSupport Sales in customer meetings throughout proposal cycleQualificationsMust HavesBachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or science technology engineering or mathematicsMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the material handling industryProficiency in AutoCADProficiency in Microsoft OfficeWe ValueLoop Sorter experienceExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong leadership and decision-making abilitiesA passion for continuous improvement and innovationAbility to work independently and in a cross-functional teamAn open honest and team-oriented personalityWillingness to learn new technologiesCreativityGood verbal communication and presentation skillsDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations candidate must be a U.S. citizen U.S. permanent resident or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.In addition to a competitive salary leading-edge work and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
