Provides health care services to patients under direction and responsibility of a Physician.Requisition ID43141BRTravel RequiredUp to 25% Pay Grade Maximum$137,221.20Major/Essential FunctionsProvides a broad range of evaluation and treatment for Patients in the Regional Medical Facility.Inspects, completes, and analyzes records, assigns, reviews and updates classification, completes clinic notes, clinic chart review notes, annual history & physical exam notes, chronic care clinic notes, admission notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries and makes rounds on patients admitted.Takes Montford Regional Call to provide 24 hour WRMF phone call coverage 1 week at a time in rotation with Montford medical providers and physicians from other units.Refers patients to unit physician, medical specialist, or other practitioner for specialized treatment.Performs outside transfer call duty. This is typically 1 day per week during business hours. UM should obtain a bed for the potential transfer prior to the provider-to-provider call. Receives provider-to-provider sign out. Determines if the patient is appropriate to come to Montford and the level of care needed. Accepts patient in transfer if the patient is appropriate and there is a bed available. Consults w/ a Montford physician, if help is needed. Enters admission order set into EHR. Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas. Certification as a Physician Assistant as evidenced by passing the examinations given by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. OR Graduation from an accredited school of nursing as a nurse practitioner from an approved certification program recognized by Texas Board of Nursing. Current R.N. license as approved by the Texas Board of Nursing or ability to transfer license to Texas.
