Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) / Physician Assistant (PA-C)

We are growing our Advanced Practice Provider team and seeking experienced clinicians to support care in a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering evidence-based care to neonates requiring advanced support.

Position Overview

Our Level IV NICU provides comprehensive care for premature and critically ill newborns. The care team includes Neonatologists, Advanced Practice Providers, pediatric specialists, and multidisciplinary support staff working together to manage complex neonatal conditions.

Schedule

• 12-hour or 24-hour shifts
• Day and night options available
• No call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for neonates in a NICU setting in collaboration with supervising neonatologists
• Attend high-risk deliveries and initiate appropriate neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Perform comprehensive newborn assessments and physical examinations
• Obtain patient and family histories
• Develop and implement care plans in coordination with the care team
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
• Perform procedures within the scope of practice
• Manage general neonatal care, including feeding, thermoregulation, and phototherapy
• Participate in daily rounds and interdisciplinary communication

Qualifications

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)

• Current, unrestricted APRN license
• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification (NCC)
• Current BLS and NRP certification

Physician Assistant (PA-C)

• Current, unrestricted PA license
• NCCPA certification
• Current BLS and NRP certification

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience preferred
