OverviewThe Advanced Practice Provider Psychiatry Care provides specialized care to patients with mental health conditions in collaboration with a psychiatrist(s). The APP assesses patients interprets diagnostic test/results and develops and implements treatment plans to address the patients unique needs in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise and the ability to work with patients who may have complex mental health needs. Psychiatry Care includes both Inpatient and Outpatient APPs working in Psychiatry/Behavioral Health Medicine.ResponsibilitiesQualificationsEDUCATION:Required: Master Degree Nursing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).EXPERIENCE:Required: 1-3 YEARS AS ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER; INPATIENT AND/OR OUTPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC SETTING.Preferred: 3 YEARS AS ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER; INPATIENT AND/OR OUTPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC SETTING.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:Valid North Carolina Board of Nursing Nurse Practitioner license.Board Certified within one year of date of hire.
