DescriptionAs an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell you will play a critical role in the design implementation and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation safety and efficiency across various industries. Your expertise in systems engineering project management and technical guidance will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology and industry solutions.You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you will work out of our Clearwater FL location. This role is eligible for hybrid work mode except for the first 90 days.In this role you will impact the reliability and efficiency of our software systems which are vital to our operations. As a senior technical authority you will drive innovation quality and performance in our software infrastructure. Help to build a strong diverse team by recruiting talent identifying and developing successors driving retention and engagement and fostering an inclusive culture.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform technical execution technical risk management requirements management for customer missionizations and new products development for Honeywell Embedded GPS/INS product line.Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis feasibility assessment technical solution development including but not limited to test strategy and architecture development test design and development.Develop system documents including but not limited to system-level requirements Interface Control Document Hardware Requirements SpecificationPrinted Board Assembly (PBA)Design SpecificationSoftware Test Plan and Procedures (DO-178 compliant) for Software/System Requirement VerificationHardware Verification Test Plan and Procedures (DO-254 compliant) for Airborne Complex Electronic Hardware Requirement Verification Certification documents.Design and develop test cases/scripts and perform testing.Design and develop test cases/scripts forComplex Electronic HardwareRequirements Verification to meet DO-254 certification requirements and perform testing.Develop and maintain GPS/INS Navigation simulation and covariance analysis tests for Performance Verification Testing Kalman Filter measurement design and selection and to support software development efforts.Develop and maintain automated Spirent Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation test framework.Develop and maintain automated Desk Top Simulation (DTS) test and Monte Carlo test framework.Update and maintain schedule and monitor development from the perspective of Systems Engineering.Manage internal and external stakeholders and their needs.Developing estimates for system development including technical baseline definition Risk and Opportunity conditions and assumptions of estimates in support of proposals.Identify and execute cost schedule and technical efficiency improvements.*** RELOCATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE ***QualificationsYOU MUST HAVEBachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences technology engineering or mathematics5 years of experience in systems engineering and project guidanceComprehensive knowledge in systems integration implementation and troubleshootingDue to export controls and ITAR products candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.WE VALUEActive DoD Secret ClearanceExperience in all aspects of the Systems Engineering process from requirements development through verification and validation testing.Lab experience testing and debugging complex electronic circuits and software using oscilloscopes network analyzers multimeters or logic analyzers.Proficient in MATLAB Simulink PythonExperience with data analytics with strong math skillsExperience in the field of Sensors Guidance and Navigation.Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering degree or related Engineering degree at an accredited college or university.Experience in using tools such as: DOORS JIRA BitBucket Bamboo andCollaboratorAdvanced background in DO-178 and DO-254 standardsUnderstand all Stages of Involvement (SOI) of DO-178 and DO-254 Processes and DocumentsAdvanced knowledge of the systems development lifecycleEmbedded GPS/INS expertiseIndividuals who quickly analyze incorporate and apply new information and conceptsLeaders adept with a diverse and global teamIndividuals who are self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision who consistently take the initiative to get things doneAbility to adapt to project changesStrong communication skills and ability to create and sustain an environment that promotes good communications and candid feedbackAbility to multi-task and be flexible in a challenging and fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with military systems and softwareABOUT HONEYWELLHoneywell International Inc.
