We currently have 60 facilities of which 43 are manufacturing facilities in ten countries and our market capitalization is approximately $13.5 billion.JOB TITLE/LOCATION:Aerospace Sales Engineer Chicago TerritoryDESCRIPTION:We are currently recruiting for a dynamic Sales Engineer for our Chicago territory with a tremendous amount of energy passion and motivation. The Sales Engineer will make sales contacts research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner by carrying out various responsibilities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:Developing statistical reportsDetermining Sales strategies & goals for each product lineObtain & coordinate data & information from staff & member groupsResearch and develop lists of potential customersPerform research to determine customer needs & providing information to other staffEvaluate product suitability in terms of customers technical & manufacturing needsFollow up on sales leads and making calls on potential customers which includes at least (50%) of your time on the road visiting customersMaintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target marketsEstablish and maintain industry contacts that lead to salesWork directly with customers to establish a communication path with the customerDeveloping sales proposals technical presentations and workshopsfor customers on technical products to obtain new and expand existing business with the end goal of finalizing contracts and closing deals within our sales scope.Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities industry trends & government regulationsMake regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leadsEstablishing long-term ongoing repeat relationshipsMaintain an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practicesOther duties as assigned.EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Industrial Distribution Engineering or BusinessStrong mechanical aptitudeEXPERIENCE: Technical Sales Experience and sales trainingSKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:The ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Qualifications:Bachelors Degree required. BSME preferred3-5 years of experienceAerospace industrial experience strongly preferred.Proficient with MS Word and Excel.Presentation skills.Able to track rapidly changing competition & market forcesCapable of meeting established sales goals and quotasDecision Making skillsAble to develop strategies that result in revenues and organizational success.Available to travel for business purposes.RBC Bearings offers a competitive benefit package including a company car.
