JOB TITLE: Aerospace Systems Technician LOCATION: Mesa AZ PAY RATE: $32-40/hour We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. Job Details: Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension) Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation Benefits: Medical dental and vision (Cigna) Perks: Bonus potential Priority access via Tier 1 supplier Openings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S. Qualifying Questions: Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary Summary: Fabricate and assemble composite parts and assemblies of varying size and complexity Safely and accurately operate shop tools and machinery including drills die grinders and calipers Drill precise hole patterns in composite and metal structures including composite/metal stack-ups Install and work with multiple fastener types including Hi-Lite Hi-Lok and Composi-Lok Perform hands-on aircraft manufacturing with composite and/or metallic airframes Work with MS flareless fittings and standard O-rings Follow directions and guidelines from team leadership to support cross-functional collaboration Adhere strictly to assembly instructions to ensure accurate completion of complex builds Maintain a strong safety culture including FOD awareness and regulatory compliance Collaborate effectively to achieve production goals and assigned tasks Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of experience as a technician in aerospace or a comparable high-reliability industry Experience in aircraft fabrication and assembly (or equivalent) Ability to use computer applications to follow manufacturing work instructions Ability to read and interpret drawings blueprints and digital models Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR). Preferred Skills: Knowledge of current manufacturing practices and willingness to learn advanced spacecraft manufacturing techniques Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) training or certification (preferred) Familiarity with multiple fastener types Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset Experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools Detail-oriented while maintaining a broader operational perspective Strong safety focus including housekeeping tool control and proper handling of hazardous materials Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements About Us: The Structures Company is a premier national aerospace and defense staffing agency specializing in contract contract-to-hire and direct hire placements.
