Position: After School Class Instructor (20:1 ratio)Job Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours/week) Grades K-5 or 6-8 assignmentsPay: $25-$35 per hourLocation:Job Overview:We are looking for experienced and passionate academic after-school class instructors who will deliver a comprehensive Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program at elementary and middle school sites. Youll engage students with hands-on activities that promote self-awareness self-management social awareness relationship skills and responsible decision-making all while integrating literacy and fostering an inclusive environment.About Us: At Groza we believe in making a difference in our students lives by closing academic gaps and building confidence. WE LOVE LIGHT BULB MOMENTS!Key Responsibilities:Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to various academic levels.Establish and achieve academic and social-emotional goals with students.Document progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff.Maintain a supportive and motivating learning environment.Keep the classroom/ work area organized and clean.RequirementsInstructor Qualifications:Associate Degree or completion of two years of study at an institution of higher educationBachelors Degree preferred.Fluency in English and SpanishMinimum of 2 years of teaching a class of 20 studentsReliable transportation- the ability to arrive at work on timeFun upbeat personality with strong interpersonal skills and passion for teaching and learning.Impeccable time management and organizational skills.Ability to work with students who learn differently including those with ADD/ADHD Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)/mild and gifted learners (experience working with neurodiverse students is a plus)Patience and empathy to support students facing various academic and personal challenges.Respect for students cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds promoting an inclusive and supportive environmentMust pass a background checkCPR and First Aid CertificatesMandated Reporting CertificateExcellent references.The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
