Supervise and train program staff.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Education Recreation Physical Education Sports Science or other closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.Due to the nature of this position the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements. A valid Drivers License accepted by the State of Utah is required at the time of hire. A valid Drivers License issued by the State of Utah must be obtained within six (6) months of hire to operate a County vehicle.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Creates the structure of the afterschool program based on state standards.Develops curriculum activities clubs and events that align with the schools core subjects.Oversees temporary staff includes hiring orienting training and assigning work.Holds regular staff meetings.Creates and maintains collaborative partnerships with community organizations.Works closely with host school administration; attends faculty and team meetings.Participates in activities as requested by school administration and the division.Schedules and monitors classes and activities taught by independent contractors and teachers.Coordinates with host school to compile weekly monthly and annual statistics and records.Evaluates afterschool program and events to ensure effectiveness.Monitors assigned programs expenditures and makes adjustments as necessary.Recommends and makes needed purchases.Actively attend regular team meetings and contribute feedback.Creates participant recruitment and retention plan establishes registration process and participant statistics.Creates and maintains communication plan with parents of enrolled participants.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)Knowledge of:Curriculum planning and developmentCommunity outreach practicesMarketing principles and practices Positive behavior support principlesYouth Development and/or school age EducationSkills and Abilities to: Interact and supervise at-risk youth of all ages cultures and socioeconomic backgroundsManage and supervise staff and instructorsLead and communicate with diverse groups of all sizesFollow written procedures and instructionsCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writingWork with a multi-disciplinary team and community partnersPerform public relations activitiesOrganize and prioritize multiple tasksWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift at least 20 pounds.IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITIONMust have the ability to travel to and from Youth Services facilities.Required Experience:IC Key Skills Project / Program Management,Program Management,Developmental Disabilities Experience,Organizational skills,Data Collection,Meeting Facilitation,Utilization Review,Administrative Experience,Program Development,Public Speaking,Supervising Experience,Social Work Employment Type : Unclear Experience: years Vacancy: 1
