Terms of Employment: 12-Month Contract to Hire (Temp-to-Hire).Location: (Reston or DC facility). Position is remote but requires mandatory in-person attendance for all certified trainings and PI Plannings (typically 2-3 days/month, potentially more intense initially) either in DC office or Reston, VA office.Candidates must be local to DMV areaOverview: Join a leading organization's Lean-Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) team to drive Enterprise Agile Transformation. This high-impact, leadership role is crucial for pivoting the organization into a product-centric model. Your core mission will be to coach multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs), mentor leadership, and actively launch and guide new, critical internal technology platform teams (like Data-as-a-Platform) in adopting a strategic, Lean-Agile operating model. We are looking for an exceptional SPC with a strong technology background who can both train and coach at an Enterprise level.Key Responsibilities: Serve as an Agile Coach within the LACE team, overseeing 3-4 ARTs and approximately 15-20 Agile teams. Coach ARTs, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Scrum Masters, Product Managers, and upper-level leadership on operating models, processes, and mindset. Play a heavy and active role in launching new internal-facing technology platform teams (e.g., data, storage, single sign-on). Apply product management principles to internal platforms, helping leaders shift from an operational-only focus to a strategic and operational mindset. Be qualified to teach and deliver certified SAFe trainings in-house, such as SAFe for Teams and Leaders (SPC certification is a must). Work across the organization to apply Lean-Agile principles to various process areas, optimizing the overall value stream and reducing waste. Customize and apply SAFe principles based on the organization's unique culture and context, going beyond a black box implementation.Required Qualifications: SPC Certification (SAFe Program Consultant): Must be a current or recently certified SPC. Demonstrated Training Experience: Proven experience and qualification to teach certified SAFe courses (e.g., SAFe for Teams, LPM, Product Management). Agile Coaching Leadership Experience: Recent or current experience as an Agile Coach (not just a Scrum Master) operating at the Enterprise level. Strong Technology Background: Must possess sufficient technology knowledge to relate to and empathize with technology platform engineers (e.g., data platform, storage, API development). Coach/Mentor Experience: Demonstrated ability to not just train, but to coach teams on applying the knowledge, changing mindsets, and optimizing processes. Must have SAFe 6.0 certificationPreferred Qualifications: Experience working with internal products or technology platforms. Experience in healthcare insurance is helpful, but not required. Certification in SAFe 6.0.
