DescriptionAs a Product Owner supporting the Expert development team you will play a pivotal role in driving the future of technically focused product initiatives. You will serve as the bridge between business needs and technical execution ensuring that organizational priorities are clearly translated into actionable user stories for agile development teams.In this role you will apply core product ownership practices including scope definition requirements gathering and conceptual system design. You will be responsible for translating portfolio-level vision into detailed product scope collaborating with technical teams to define and deliver pilots proofs of concept features and functionality.You will manage a technical development backlog and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful and timely product releases. This role operates in a highly collaborative environment where Product Owners coordinate across multiple teams to manage overlapping priorities and dependencies.The Role:Works closely with Product Managers/Leaders to stay connected to the needs of the users in order to enable them to articulate the business scenariosAs a key member of a scrum team(s) responsible for continuously grooming the backlog and working directly with Engineering QA Scrum Master Architecture and Program team to facilitate software development and remove roadblocksWorks closely with a variety of senior technical team members including Engineering mgmt. and Enterprise architects to organize needs and requirements.Prioritizes Release backlog and Sprint backlog to ensure stories are ordered in a logical manner incorporating feedback from Engineering and Product Managers taking into consideration dependencies and incremental development goalsParticipate in all sprint ceremonies and lead grooming/backlog refinement meetingsTriage bugs during development and answers inquires during production supportCommunicates the technical needs of end users conducts initial requirement walk-throughs with scrum teams clarifies requirements on a daily basis through each sprint works directly with all members of the Scrum Team with close consideration of cross-domain topicsProactively makes decisions on behalf of the Product Managers to unblock Scrum TeamsEscalates questions or issues to Product Managers and PMO as neededPerforms User Acceptance Testing (UAT) where applicableResponsible for the success of the release and outcomesProblem articulation no solutioning or implementation use the teams to help with defining solutions through collaborationUse trusted methods Story mapping user stories acceptance criteriaResponsibilities-Qualifications5 years of experience as a Product Owner focused on product development activities with strong focus on technical domain areas including but not limited to: AI evaluations RAG pipelines Agentic frameworks data engineering data scienceHR Technology knowledgeHR Domain in one or more of the following areas: Benefits Retirement Compensation and/or HR generalist tasksRequires strong product discovery business analysis requirements gathering speaking and writing skillsAgile Development experienceSkilled at working with stakeholders to drive decision points and resolutions across an array of functional and business stakeholdersSelf-starter attitude and ability to work well within ambiguityAdeptness at learning new technology and toolsExcellent communication skillsDetail orientated strong analytical thinker capable of making key decisions based on solid research and knowledge of the industryDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work on virtual teamsAdaptability with working styles and team members and flexibility to meet across multiple time zonesExcellent time management and ability to meet deadlinesAbility to work effectively as an independent contributor or as part of a broader global teamBS / BA degree or relevant experienceSome travel required (5-10%)Preferred Qualifications: TechnicalBachelors degree and 4-10 years of related software development experience.Experience working on both new enhancement and maintenance software development projects.Experience working with collaboration and issue tracking tools such as Confluence and JIRA and MSAzure DevOps a plusPreferred QualificationsExperience working for a national or global commercial software product company requiring software product usage and high availability in a 24/7/365 model.This position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until a sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements for various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role base on several factors including but not limited to location of the role individual qualifications education/profession certifications experience performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).CompensationThe base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $110000- $135000 USD per year.
