Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:JOB SUMMARYThe Preschool Teacher Aide is responsible for assisting the teacher to accomplish the successful operation of his/her classroom to insure quality early childhood instruction.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWorks with the teacher and children to provide excellence in service, instruction and communicationAdheres to preschool policies and proceduresAttends all training, staff meetings and other Preschool functionsOther duties as assignedRequirements:REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust be highly motivatedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent leadership skillsGood organizational skillsAn understanding of preschool curriculum and childhood developmentMust have a strong desire to work with childrenREQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEPreschool experience preferredMust have experience working with parentsEarly Childhood degree preferredMust have current certificates in CPR, First Aid and AED (with in 60 days of employment)Must be fingerprinted and pass CBI and FBI background checks within 60 days of employment.
