If youre ready to break boundaries deliver results and enjoy the ride along the way youll thrive here.Want to learn more about who we are Check out our website to discover the Tenneco WayThe Maintenance Technician I II or III is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install troubleshoot repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the plants business goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities include:Following all safety rules at all times using all PPE as required daily; maintain proactive attention to safety including keeping work area clean and orderly. Always inspect all equipment prior to use and report any discrepancies immediatelyMust perform according to the companys core valuesProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine servicePerform simple machinist duties and responsibilitiesPerform mechanic skills including mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulicRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required service; diagnose problems replace or repair parts test and make adjustments; perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry functionsUse a variety of hand and power tools electric meters aerial lifts and material handling equipmentDetect faulty operations defective materials and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisionComplete all tasks accurately with little to no safety and quality defectsAll other jobs as assignedThe Maintenance Tech II and III may be asked to fill in as a Maintenance Team Leader when needed.The Maintenance Technician level will be determined on the required qualifications functional experience and system or knowledge level. The required basic qualifications for a Maintenance Technician are:High school diploma or GED certificationSuccessful completion of Maintenance Apprentice program or Technical Certification (equivalent experience may take the place)2-4 years of maintenance manufacturing experienceSuccessful completion of pre-employment basic skills test drug screens background screens and physical demands testingMust have a valid drivers license and able to operate a forkliftThe Glasgow Tenneco team would prefer a candidate that has experience with robotics a strong electrical background in factory automation with the ability to troubleshoot and repair photo eyes motor starters relays limit switches proximity sensors timers solenoids servos variable frequency drives linear scales tachometers and encoders.A qualified Maintenance Technician would also possess the required knowledge in the following:Solid reading writing and mathematical skills including decimals and fractionsAbility to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to work with a high level of precisionComputer and Keyboard SkillsTroubleshooting skills (pneumatic electrical hydraulic mechanical)Basic fabrication/weldingEffectively utilizes electrical schematic hydraulic pneumatic mechanical blueprintsPrinciples and importance of proper torque valuesRead and interpret precise measuring instrumentsPreference would go to the candidate that has knowledge of lean manufacturing and PLC troubleshooting/programming skills including CPU back planes I/O Boards high speed counters modules devices and communications.Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups including protected veterans and individuals with disabilitiesRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Hand Tools,Math,HVAC,Mechanical Knowledge,HVAC/R,Service Technician Experience,Maintenance,Refrigeration,Ductwork,Cordova,Troubleshooting,Air Conditioning Employment Type : Hourly Experience: years Vacancy: 1
