Aircraft Painter at Segula Technologies

Type of Contract: Contract To HirePer diem: Weekly Per diem for candidates who live 150 miles away from locationAdhere to General Work RequirementsRead engineering drawings to identify the tasks to be performed in preparation for the application of chemicals and paint to aircraft surface.Apply safety absorbent to hangar floor and spray aircraft surface with stripper to remove all paint.Assist with moving aircraft to appropriate bay.Mask unmask and re-mask appropriate areas of aircraft surface to ensure complete protection of windows and other areas susceptible to damage.Remove stripper excess paint and/or contaminants using water solvents air blower and/or brushes.Sand grind and buff polished areas of aircraft surface apply putty to body dents and replace sealer in preparation for the application of primer and paint.Apply Alodine to aircraft surface using spray equipment.Perform touch-up work as required.Document work performed per Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM)Perform above tasks in support of production flight test and other outside areas as required.Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification.Qualifications : 10 years of experience as aircraft painter. can be a mix of aircraft and automotive but must avoid only automotive paint experiencemust have large parts to full body aircraft paint experienceAvoid only small parts paint experienceMust be flexible with shift No interior/cabinetry paint experienceAdditional Information : Heres a heads-up of the upcoming steps:Phone Interview with Recruiter: Well begin with an introductory call to discuss your background and interest in the role.
