Job Description

Job DutiesDocument detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.Always maintain training currency.Lays out locates fits trims assembles and installs parts assemblies and skins where dimensions are critical and fitting is to exacting tolerance.Drill countersink and rivet exterior skin panels where skin quality is critical. Works from all types of complex blueprints E.O.s and production illustrationsCompletes inspection of existing aircraft structuresCompletes any or all structural rework/repair squawks and E.O.s.May be required to work in confined space.Fabricate detail parts from blueprint or engineering instructionsPerform aircraft inventory acceptance and inspectionsMaterial & Equipment Directly UsedDrive company vehicle.Operate ground support equipment required to perform daily job functions.Working EnvironmentMust be able to stand walk lift and organize inventory within non-airconditioned hangar maintenance areas and outdoors flight line.Physical ActivitiesThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.The employee must be able to work on their feet for 10 hours.QualificationsFive (5) years of documented experience in aircraft structural installation modification troubleshooting and repair.Heavy C-130 structural modification/inspection experience preferred.Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical orders drawings and blueprints.Always maintain training currency.Must be self-motivated and have the ability to schedule job tasks to meet completion timeline.Ability to communicate effectivelyMust have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Must be able to obtain and maintain in force a valid drivers license.Must be a citizen of the United States of AmericaMust be able to pass a stringent background investigationMust be able to utilize computer-based systems to perform dutiesMust be able to work Independently and safelyMust be willing/able to work any shift or schedule.Some travel possible up to 25%Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of aircraft mechanical experience.Ability to utilize computer-based systems to perform duties.Must be willing/able to work any shift or schedule.Benefits include the following:Healthcare coverageRetirement planLife insurance AD&D and disability benefitsWellness programsPaid time off including holidaysLearning and Development resourcesEmployee assistance resourcesPay and benefits are subject to change at any time and may be modified at the discretion of the company consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.Benefits include the following:Healthcare coverageRetirement planLife insurance AD&D and disability benefitsWellness programsPaid time off including holidaysLearning and Development resourcesEmployee assistance resourcesPay and benefits are subject to change at any time and may be modified at the discretion of the company consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
