Aircraft Technician I
Job Summary Aircraft technicians are essential to Deltahawk Engines' airframe integration efforts, contributing significantly to both development and certification processes. Their main role is to complete maintenance, modifications, flight testing, and offering crucial design feedback for test assets and new airframe projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities listed below. - Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, including engine, airframe, avionics, and electrical systems without formal troubleshooting documentation
- Ensure that work performed on aircraft is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
- Properly document aircraft maintenance and modifications as well as storage of these documents
- A&P mechanic License
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working on aircraft or aircraft engines
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and related documentation requirements
- Strong "can do" attitude accompanied with a sense of ambition and urgency
- Ability to follow procedures to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot aircraft systems
- Excellent attention to detail in mechanical assembly and the inspection process during teardowns
- Ability to comprehend technical details effectively in verbal and written form
- Computer literacy including the ability to organize and manage test data
- Ability to lift, hold, and position weights up to 45 lbs at least two to four times per hour as needed
- Ability to work in various positions necessary to service the engine or test equipment as needed
- Overtime and domestic travel may be required
- Tools will be provided
- Sport Pilot license or better
- Composites fabrication and repair experience
