Hiring Ranges For Airport Mechanic:Mechanic I: $29.71-$35.65. The maximum pay for this position is $41.59.Mechanic II: $32.08- $38.50. The maximum pay for this position is $44.92.Mechanic III: $34.65- $41.58. The maximum pay for this position is $48.51.Eagle County Government is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to join our Eagle Regional Airport team. This is a single position with flexibility to hire at a I II or III level depending on experience and qualifications.As an Airport Fleet Mechanic you will be responsible for keeping our critical infrastructure running safely and efficiently.Applicants are encouraged to apply by December 12th however job will be posted until filled.Schedule: Wednesday- Saturday 6:00AM-4:30PMWhat Youll Do:Maintain and repair essential airport equipment including baggage conveyor systems passenger jet bridges and facility HVAC.Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.Operate vehicles and heavy equipment in a secure environment.Ensure all work complies with strict FAA and TSA safety and security regulations.Level III mechanics will lead projects and mentor junior team members.What Were Looking For:Valid drivers license and the ability to pass a federal background check.A strong commitment to safety and teamwork.Must be available for on-call and weekend duties.Experienced in maintaining and repairing vehicles heavy equipment or building systems (HVAC plumbing etc.).Able to work effectively with the entire airport staff.Qualifications for Fleet Mechanic I:No preferred education or degreeOne year performing routine maintenance on gasoline or diesel powered vehicles and one year experience in the repair of tires tubes and wheels; or any combination of education and experience which produces the required knowledge skills and abilities.Requires a valid drivers license and a satisfactory driving record.Preferred LicensureMust possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or be able to obtain such CDL within 1 year of employment.Full job description for Airport Fleet Mechanic IQualifications for Fleet Mechanic II:Minimum Work Experience1-3 years of experience in the diagnosis repair and maintenance of various building systems.Preferred Work Experience3-5 years of experience in the diagnosis repair and maintenance of various building systems.Prior experience maintaining baggage conveyor systems.Minimum LicensurePossess a valid State of Colorado Drivers License or ability to obtain within 60 days with a satisfactory motor vehicle record without restrictions.Preferred LicensureClass B Commercial Drivers License or ability to obtain within 1 year.Full job description for Airport Fleet Mechanic IIQualifications for Fleet Mechanic III:Minimum Work ExperienceSix (6) years on-the job experience as a journey level mechanic performing routine maintenance on gasoline or diesel powered vehicles; or any combination of education and experience which produces the required knowledge skills and abilities.One (1) year of experience at Eagle County Airport as a fleet mechanic or a similar fleet experience at another airportAttend Basic and Advanced Snow Equipment Mechanic trainingMinimum EducationCompletion of a technical training program with at least 1 ASE certifications in Automotive and Medium/Heavy Truck maintenance.Preferred Work ExperienceAny experience in the diagnosis repair and maintenance of various building systems.More than six (6) years on-the-job experience as a journey level mechanic performing detailed maintenance on gas or diesel powered vehiclesExperience with hybrid/alternative fueled vehicles or construction equipment.Minimum LicensurePossess a valid State of Colorado Drivers License or ability to obtain within 60 days with a satisfactory motor vehicle record without restrictions.Preferred LicensureClass B Commercial Drivers License or ability to obtain within 1 year.Full job description for Airport Fleet Mechanic IIICareer ProgressionGrow your career with us!
