Reporting to the Production Supervisor the AIT Technician Cable & Harness will be responsible for testing troubleshooting potting fabricating and repairing flight harnesses and avionics systems. The ideal candidate should possess keen visual acuity and knowledge of quality control and ASO-9100 standards with high attention to detail and organizational skills are critical for this position.This role is on ourWeekday shift (Monday-Thursday) from 6:00AM - 4:30PMKey Duties and Responsibilities Use essential tools and test equipment for harness fabricationWork under microscopeCIRRIS testing experienceRun reports and download for tracking purposesSolder crimp strip and fabricate flight harnesses for spacecraftPerform quality assurance checkouts on flight harness buildsRead wire harness schematics assembly drawings product-specific documentation and work instructionsUtilize quality control methodologies while identifying components for harness fabrication and testingQualifications and Skills High School Diploma or GED2 to 4 years of experience in harness fabricationExperience and skills in operating test equipment used for harness checkoutsExperience working with epoxy potting connectorsIPC-610 IPC/WHMA-A-620 or NASA STD 8739.4 Certification Preferred but not RequiredJ-Std 001 certifiedGeneral understanding of electronic components electronics design manufacturing production processes test equipment and tools associated with harnessingGeneral knowledge of bill of materials assembly drawings product-specific documentation work instructions and other general documentsGeneral understanding of production processes test equipment and tools associated with harnessingAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong follow-through ability to meet deadlinesStrong verbal/written communication as well as organization/interpersonal skillsAbility to keep accurate recordsComputer literateSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to maintain patience in challenging situationsQA/QC experienceMust have excellent visual acuity to perform detailed inspections and quality control tasksAbility to accurately distinguish a wide range of colors which is essential for success in this roleYour actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification knowledge skills education and addition to base salary we offer 100% covered medical dental and vision coverage a 401(k) match Flexible Time Off (FTO) covered life insurance maternity and paternity leave tuition reimbursement employee referrals and lots of swag!Salary Range$28 - $35 USDBenefits100% Company-paid comprehensive medical dental and vision coverage for you and your dependents401(k) MatchFlexible Time Off (FTO)Education ReimbursementCompetitive Paid Parental LeaveAbout Terran OrbitalTerran Orbital is a leading manufacturer of satellite products primarily serving the aerospace and defense industries.
