Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Class 1 WelderLocation: Jeanerette, LAJob Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $24/hr + $100 per diemOverview: We are seeking experienced Class 1 Welders for full-time positions in Jeanerette, LA. This role involves welding aluminum in a ship/boat building environment. Candidates must be proficient in reading blueprints, welding in multiple positions, and adhering to safety and quality standards.Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (40 hours per week) Potential for overtime on weekdays and weekendsEducation or Required Experience:3 to 5 years of experience in the ship/boat building industry welding aluminumMust be able to read blueprintsMust be able to tack, distribute heat evenly, and lay a clean beadMust be able to pass a Pre-Employment Mock Weld TestRequired Skills:Strong attention to detail to support a high-quality assurance programExcellent math skills and ability to read a tape measure accuratelyProficient in either fitting or welding aluminumAbility to repair defective weldsAbility to weld in all positions (uphill, downhill, horizontal, pipe, or flat)Safe operation of power equipment in compliance with safety standardsStrong work ethicAbility to operate power tools (grinders, saws, drills, etc.)Good communication skills and ability to work well in a teamPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularlyMust be able to climb stairs and ladders as needed to perform tasksAmeri-Force Benefits As part of the Ameri-Force team, a recognized ESOP company, you have a personal stake in the collective success of the organization, fostering a collaborative and rewarding work environment.
