Shop Mechanic Dairy Farm at Longhorn Energy

Job Description

7am-4pm 1 hour lunch break from 12pm-1pm 6 day/48 hr work week Daily Duties: Working at on-site shop to maintain and service dairy and farm equipment. Servicing fleet of semi trucks tractors trailers pickups and Kubotas. Primary work is done at shop with occasional work done on-field at farms. Major work is outsourced to dealers.Repair (responding to flow of equipment breakdowns and fixing if possible)Maintenance (preventative in checking fluids tires brakes and immediate in troubleshooting equipment issues)Inventory (ordering parts from vendors and coordinating delivery logistics)RequirementsProven mechanic experience with farm machinery heavy equipment or automotive repairDealership experience preferred but not requiredStrong mechanical knowledge including transmissions hydraulics HVAC systems diesel engines brakes and electrical systemsAbility to read schematics and OEM manuals for troubleshooting complex issuesProficiency with hand tools power tools welding equipment and other maintenance toolsExperience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering is a plusKnowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators cranes forklifts and tractor-trailers is desirableAbility to lift heavy components safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularlyExcellent problem-solving skills with attention to detailStrong customer service skills for interacting with clients or team members as neededBenefitsThis position requires a motivated individual committed to quality workmanship and safety standards.
