Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board!Why youll love this job The Customer Planning and Analysis team at American Airlines is looking for new candidates to help support our domestic and international airport operations throughout the American network.While airport workforce bidding cost forecasting process improvement and staffing analysis make up the core functions of this team what makes the position equally unique and challenging is its wide-ranging scope that interacts with every facet of the airline.This role is a part of the Customer Planning and Analysis team within our Airport Operations group.What youll do As noted above this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so observing of course any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations. Develop and implement frontline team member bidsDevelop the annual operating budget and staffing models used to forecast operating expendituresCommunicate with airport leadership to ensure full comprehension of planned spendingMonitor and analyze spending trends to adjust budgets and models to meet the needs of airportsProvide financial analysis and justification for capital proposals to secure necessary fundingWork with airports to identify analyze and solve operational issues or improve processesDevelop solutions to maximize passenger and baggage throughput at all phases of the customer journey including but not limited to airport check-in security boarding and flight connectionsPerform time and motion studies and analyze results to make recommendations on airport processes and standardsUses qualitative and quantitative observations/data to develop data driven solutions to root causes and develop modelsCollaborates across many work groups and all levels of airport team members to ensure changes are sustainableAll youll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelors degree in Aviation Mathematics Statistics Finance Industrial Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience/training3 years of relevant experienceMicrosoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency requiredWillingness to travel on company business up to 50% of the timePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperiencePrior experience with SQL Python or other coding languages and simulation softwarePrior experience with lean six sigma and continuous improvement projectsSkills Licenses & CertificationsAnalytical skills to understand various forecasting techniques and variance analysisExcellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solvingAbility to work effectively meet deadlines and shift priorities appropriately in a fast-paced dynamic work environment with great attention to detailAbility to take on projects from start to finish both in a group and individually with little management oversightStrong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organizationAbility to fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA) if applicable What youll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world You your family and your friends can reach 365 destinations on more than 6800 daily flights across our global network.Health Benefits: On day one youll have access to your health dental prescription and vision benefits to help you stay well.
