Job Title: Ancillary Portal Claims Adjuster Department: Claims AdministrationPay Grade:Choose Pay Grade Overtime Eligibility: Choose Status Date: November 2025Job Summary:The Ancillary Portal Claims Adjuster plays a critical role in Claims. This is a full-time in-office position based inRichardson TX. The key function and purpose of this role is assisting contract holders with any needs andadjudicating Ancillary claims.Minimum Qualifications:Education High School Diploma or Equivalency requiredExperience 1-2 years of Claims processing experience minimum 1 years of hands-on automotive repair and diagnosis experience.Licensure Certificationand/or Registration Current or previous ASE Certification preferredSupervision Exercised Direct Indirect N/ATypical PositionsSupervised N/APrimary Job Functions Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly ensuring a positive and supportive experience. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with customersagents and dealers throughout the claims process. Review and verify claim information to ensure the customers complaint diagnosis and failed partsare accurately documented and justify the approved repair. Confirm that all repair costs align with industry standards and company processes. Evaluate repair details to determine whether services are covered under the terms of the customersservice contract. Support team objectives by contributing to overall department goals and assisting colleagues asneeded. Process claims in full compliance with Smart AutoCares established policies procedures andservice standards.Periodic Job Functions Participate in any projects reports documentation tasks or objectives assignedSkills & Competencies Required Parts and Labor Guide familiarity Intermediate knowledge of Windows-based computer programs Exceptional customer service and communication skills Ability to read analyze and interpret general business correspondence or technical procedures Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations whereonly limited standardization exists Spanish fluency/bilingual preferredSkill Requirements: (X Required for job) Lift materials supplies etc. (up to 5 lbs.)
