Android Software Developer at DEKA Research and Development

DEKA is seeking an Android Software Developer to help us deliver the next generation of mobile medical experiences for our products. Our team is working on breakthrough medical technology which dramatically improves the lives of patients around the world.How you will make an impact as an Android Software Developer:Help design mobile medical user interfaces including screens and logical workflowsDevelop software requirements at all levels, from high level functionality to unit-level requirementsParticipate in architecture and detailed design and code reviewsImplement required functionality in robustly constructed and highly intuitive Android-based user interface applicationsSupport user-testing with target populations, including human factors validationsDevelop and implement test strategies and detailed testing to drive a high quality product experienceSupport other team members towards these and other broader program-level goalsTo be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:Bachelors in Computer ScienceProficiency with Kotlin/Android development (at least 2 years of experience)Experience with GitExperience with Unit test automationUnderstanding of Agile principles of continuous integrationUnderstanding of multi-threaded and asynchronous developmentUnderstanding of Model-View-Controller-View Model (MVVM)Understanding of layouts (e.g. constraints, size classes)Understanding of Android design principles and user interface guidelinesMedical product development requires excellent documentation skillsMust show attention to detail with strong writtenandverbal communicationThis position involves day-to-day interactions with a fast paced collaborative development team.
