Covenant Health is the only healthcare system in East Tennessee to be named a Forbes Best Employer seven times.Position Summary:The Anesthesia Credentialing and Support Services Coordinator ensures anesthetists meet all facility and regulatory requirements by managing credentialing processes verifying documentation and maintaining accurate position serves as the primary liaison for ambulatory service center credentialing coordinating with the Credentialing Verification Office (CVO) Medical Staff Office (MSO) and other stakeholders. The role also provides secondary operational and administrative support for the anesthesia service line.Recruiter: Suzie McGuinn ResponsibilitiesInitiate and manage credentialing for new and renewing providers; ensure complete and accurate documentation; screen applications for eligibility. Verify provider credentials including education professional licenses board certifications and background checks. Serve as the primary contact for providers hospitals and internal departments; resolve credentialing issues and proactively communicate delays impacting start dates. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of provider credentials rosters certifications and privileging dates to ensure compliance. Maintain CAQH credentials. Ensure accuracy in records by identifying and resolving discrepancies in provider information. Track and manage deadlines for initial credentialing and re-credentialing to ensure timely completion. Support anesthesia recruiting and leadership in onboarding permanent and temporary staff; coordinate communication with relevant departments. Respond to provider inquiries in collaboration with anesthesia leadership and administrative teams. Assist with administrative tasks as needed including scheduling mail timekeeping reporting reimbursements and related functions. Clearly and effectively communicates with providers co-workers and organizational leadership.Follows policies procedures and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Education:None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.Minimum Experience:Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare environment with credentialing responsibilities; knowledgeable with Joint Commission and NCQA standards.Licensure Requirement:None Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
