This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new opportunities to positively impact the business.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Successfully manage multiple projects to ensure all requirements are metDesign complex sheet metal parts and assemblies in InventorPerform chassis layouts for Class 3 through 7 trucksPerform Center of Gravity and basic FEA calculationsImplement design changes and ECOsWork with Sales to determine requirements for new productsSupport manufacturing on engineered projectsOther duties as assignedSkills/Qualifications: Highly motivated with attention to detailAbility to handle multiple projects at one timeGood written and verbal communication skillsAble to work independently and in team environmentCreative problem-solvingEducation/Experience:BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology considered as well5 years sheet metal part/assembly design using Inventor or SolidWorksStrong working knowledge of sheet metal processes including welding and assemblyWorking knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systemsExperience with Class 3 through Class 7 trucksWork Environment: This position operates in an office environment and on the production floor. Individual in position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers photocopiers and phones.
