To learn more visit our benefits and perks page.Position Overview:The Application Engineering Intern Industrial Automation will identify and build an automation related project while assisting in creating and developing technical resources that help customers better utilize Digi-Keys industrial automation products and solutions. This can include creating videos that show our products use developing formulas that customers use in our tools and adding visual images to written content as related to that project.Responsibilities:Identify develop collect and organize technical content that is deployed online for customer engineers to learn about and apply automation devices that Digi-Key sells.Assist with content curation and working together with marketing leadership to ensure the technical content is on point with Digi-Key brandingAssist with technical content creation to drive engagement and quality leadsCreate and curate technical content for various areas on the company websiteMaintain technical competence through research supplier trainings and hands on learningProvide suggestions and feedback on site features functionality and content to improve the customer experienceManage multiple projects effectively and meet tight deadlinesOther duties as assigned by Management.Requirements/Skills:Junior (or greater) in pursuit of an Electrical Engineering (EE) Electronic Engineering Tech (EET) Industrial Automation Technology Mechatronics Computer Engineering Robotics Engineering Controls Systems Engineering or related fields or study.Ability to work independently or in a team while managing multiple projectsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with a helpful customer service orientationHigh organization and office software skillsMust demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: attention to detail communication proficiency customer/client focus ethical conduct initiative manages execution marketing capacity personal effectiveness/credibility positive attitude problem solving/analysis professionalism project management time management and thoroughnessEligible for work in the United States of America without sponsorshipPhysical Requirements:Generally spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices such as but not limited to keyboard mouse and screenGenerally spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands head and other parts of your bodyCompensation:The base pay range for this position is determined based on a candidates relevant experience and their most recently completed year of undergraduate education and/or the graduate program (Masters/PhD) they are pursuing. For undergraduate applicants the base pay range is $21.00 to $23.00. For graduate applicants the base pay rate is $26.00 for applicants pursuing a Masters degree and $29.00 for those pursuing a PhD.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
