About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director to lead the Application Network Services product area. ANS provides both emerging and foundational application security functions, as well as end to end delivery of a suite of network and security services. Role will lead the teams which provide load balancing services and protect internet-facing web applications against vulnerabilities, application layer distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, and bot detection through our cloud-based security solution, Virtual Front Door (VFD). These teams also provide centralized coordination of applications network services, including firewall, load balancing, VFD, and DNS.In this role, you will:Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leadsFocus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic prioritiesBuild support for strategies with business and technology leadersGuide development of actionable roadmaps and plansIdentify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practicesProvide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providersIdentify financial management and strategic resourcingSet risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiativesDevelop strategies for hiring engineering talentLead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovationCollaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managersLead team to achieve objectivesInterface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forumsManage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic LeadershipDevelop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategyRequired Qualifications:10+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education4+ years of management or leadership experienceDesired Qualifications:In depth knowledge with Network and Security services such as load balancers, firewalls, application layer DDoS protection, DNSExperience in financial servicesExperience managing in a complex, matrixed environment and comfortable leading and executing through influence.A can-do attitude and an agent to drive velocity and change.Highly effective and proven consultative leader with strong business and data-driven acumen, to drive continuous improvement in a data-driven way.Job Expectations:This role is not eligible for visa sponsorshipPay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
