Job Description

Job Description: Lead and oversee research projects on speech quality, including statistical analysis and reporting. Design and conduct pilot listening tests and perceptual experiments with human participants. Monitor project challenges, facilitate resolution, and proactively keep initiatives on track. Communicate progress, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders on a regular basis. Collaborate with and support research scientists and engineers within the team. Manage procurement projects for equipment and vendor services. Take on operational tasks as needed, a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” is essential. Minimum Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proven track record of communicating research in speech perception, hearing sciences, or auditory perception in academic or industrial settings. Experience with data collection involving human participants. Proficiency in scientific programming languages (Matlab, Python, C++, or R). Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in one of the following fields: Computational Neuroscience Cognitive Science Electrical Engineering Perception / Experimental Psychology Audio Engineering / Acoustics Computer Science / Computer Engineering Biomedical Engineering Computational Audiology Or a related discipline Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with tonal languages (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai, Yoruba). PhD degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with AI generative speech. Experience with modeling audio quality.
