The trainee will attend didactic lectures participate in clinical training under the supervisionof faculty physicians work with interdisciplinary care teams participate in other tasks (such as qualityimprovement or research activities) and take training examinations as necessary to enhance theirunderstanding the US medical system.Essential Functions:Develop a Plan of Care for Patients Discuss patients treatment plans with physicians and other medical professionals. Encourages increased patient understanding and involvement in care. Communicate likely outcomes of medical diseases or traumatic conditions to patients or theirrepresentatives. Consult with physicians and other professionals such as social workers regarding patientshospital admission continued observation transition of care or discharge. Identify factors that may affect patient management such as age gender barriers tocommunication and underlying disease. (25%)Deliver Care to Patients: Evaluate patients vital signs & lab data to determine emergency intervention needs and priorityof treatment. Conduct primary patient assessments that include information from prior medical care. Analyze records examination information or test results to diagnose medical conditions. Coordinate activities of nurses assistants specialists residents and other medical staff. Monitor patients conditions and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
