Department:ICE CASL CA AdvancedPracticeProvidersSMDepartments Website:Summary of Job Duties:The APRN/PA will extend the patient care and administrative services for UAMS physicians in both inpatient and/or outpatient settings. APRN/PA will be expected provide comprehensive health assessments determine diagnoses implement treatment plans perform procedures and prescribe medicines and treatments. The APRN/PA will also manage health issues for patients independently or in collaboration with the designated physicians. The APRN/PA will work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate. The APRN/PA will also coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients facilitating all necessary consults assuring that care is timely and appropriate.Qualifications:APRN Minimum Qualifications:Masters Degree Plus Two (2) years nursing experience with Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN/CPN LicensePA Minimum Qualifications:Completion of Physician Assistant program with a PA license with State Medical Board.Minimum Qualifications:Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.Must be able to operate all typical nursing equipment essential to performing the job (i.e. scales procedure equipment needles blood pressure equipment and EKG machines). Must have normal communication sensory requirement. Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated.
