These values can be recalled simply by our name RICE Responsibility Integrity Community and Excellence.Position Summary:The Aquatic Coordinator will serve as a leader within the Recreation Center manage a team of lifeguards and swim instructors provide great customer service to members and participants and maintain cleanliness and order of the entire Aquatic Center.Ideal Candidate Statement:The ideal candidate would have experience in pool management understand the importance of pool safety and operating procedures value teamwork and collaboration have strong work ethic and problem-solving skills. Experience with the day-to-day operations of pools including staffing cleanliness pool filtration and pool chemistry.Workplace Requirements:This position is exclusively on-site necessitating all duties to be performed in-person at the Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center. PerRice policy 440 work arrangements may be subject to change.This position requires frequent work in outside environment including hot summer monthsHandling chemicals for pump room operationsOccasional nights and weekends as neededThis role is classified as an Essential Remote Position. During declared emergencies or crisis events the incumbent is required to continue duties remotely to ensure business continuity.
