Job DescriptionJob DescriptionIn search of:A part-time hourly Aquatics Coordinator to help lead the Aquatics Department at the Eric Snow Family YMCA. A majority of time will be spent guarding or instructing swim lessons.Rate of Pay:$16.00 - $18.00/hourBenefits: Complimentary membership and discounted rates for childcare and most programs.Qualifications:2 years Aquatics Experience, preferably in a supervisory roleAbility to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.Proven ability in creating effective class schedules, great member relationships and a great staffing cultureREQUIRED: Current YMCA (preferred) or Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. Including CPR, First Aid and Oxygen and current YMCA (preferred) or Red Cross Swim Instructor CertificationResponsibilities:Oversee aquatic facilitiesPrepare and oversee scheduling of lifeguards and aquatic staffOversee and coordinate swim lessons and classesLifeguard as needed and instruct classesEnsure upkeep and maintenance of the pools and whirlpools and mandatory testing and reportingRecruit, hire, train, develop, schedule, and direct staffHours: Approximately 25-30 hours per weekJob Posted by ApplicantPro
