Here's what you would do:Lead energizing, fun, safe and educational group classes that align with the healthy living program and objectivesUnderstands different health needs, observes and adjusts approach to support all participants' capabilities, physical conditions and objectives.Educates members on safe techniques and guidelines.Greet and encourage all members and orients new participants. Maintain a clean and safe workout environmentBuild community through forming positive relationships through learning members names and helping members reach their Health & Wellness goals. "Ok, I'm sold!" What do I need to qualify?Current Water Fitness Instructor Certification. Nationally Recognized Water/Aqua Fitness Instructor Certifications from ACSM, AEA, AFPA, ATRI, SCWfit, USWFA or YMCA will meet this requirement. CPR, AED and First Aid Certification through American Red Cross, American Heart Association or ASHI. Certification may be obtained either in person or through a blended mode. Courses completed 100% online will not meet this requirement. Certification must be maintained and current at all timesPhysical ability to lead and participate in exercise/fitness activitiesAbility to deal with a diverse group of individuals.Strong Communication skills and the capability to work with members of all fitness levels and abilitiesKnowledge of safe exercise techniques and principlesAbility to stand for extended periods of time.Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, jumping, hopping, kicking. bending, reaching and lifting of weights.Ability to lift minimum of 25 pounds.Ability to react to emergency situations in an indoor or outdoor environment.
