Job Description

Overview:

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operation and providing support in the aquatics department.

You will have the ability to interview for the following positions: Lead, Supervisor, or Senior Supervisor

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the safe operation of the park.
  • Assist with the aquatics work crew projects.
  • Assisting with overseeing the aquatics staff through daily training, coaching, discipline, and rewards as necessary.
  • Assisting with department and division training.
  • Works an assigned life guarding / ride attendant position when necessary
  • Receive and maintain a High Pass / Exceeds in all Ellis and Department Audits
  • Working with Operations Staff to ensure department and park goals are achieved.
  • Ensuring Guest First Standards are followed and enforced.
  • Maintaining high throughput goals.
  • Handling guest comments and complaints.
  • Ensuring all training requirements and testing procedures are adhered to as set forth by Six Flags.
  • Other tasks assigned by Aquatics or Park Management team.

Pay Range: $16.00 -17.50/hr.


Qualifications:
  • At minimum, 1 - 2 years of aquatics experience (lifeguard, ride attendant. or relevant aquatics leadership position)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Must possess an enthusiastic and positive Guest First Orientation and enjoy working with people.
  • Ability to motivate with excellent leadership skills.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must achieve, receive and maintain Ellis and Associates Special Facilities Certification.
  • Outstanding performance as a team member.
  • Must be able to respond immediately, adapt to, and oversee all emergency situations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be available for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 or more hours at a time. Applicants must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds.
