Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition OverviewInstill proper knowledge, skills, and attitude with participants. Provide high quality instruction, direct leadership, and mentorship in all archery venues.Key ResponsibilitiesInstructs and coaches guests in a classroom or range environment100% accountability of all equipment at all timesMaintains all equipmentProvides guests with top-tier archery programs and completes range tasksEnsures range safety procedures are followedModel the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactionsMaintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 18+Required: USA Archery Level 1 Instructor (training provided)Required: 1+ year leading teams, prefer 1+ year Summit EmploymentPreferred: Experience in competitive shooting or hunting, any disciplineWilling to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
