The Turners Outdoorsman seeksArchery Techs and Sales. The Archery Techs assists the Store Management in the performance of his/her duties. The Archery Tech is a retail professional role model in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSGreets all customersExecutes all required firearms paperwork within legal parametersCreate customer ordersProvides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanshipDemonstrates constant awareness of firearm safetyResponsible for assisting in store merchandising changesReceives stock and merchandiseActively involved in promotions sales and eventsMay fill customer fishing reels using special machines and knot-tying techniquesMay participate in inventory tasksAble to attend training seminars including some off-siteWilling to learn how to work on both compound and traditional bow to meet Turners expectations.Willing to learn about all of the different archery accessories Turners carries.Able to provide exceptional customer service at all times.Needs to know the difference between a compound and traditional bow/accessories.Knowledgeable about different brands and what makes them stand out against other brands.Must be comfortable with hunting accessories and open to helping customersPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMUST HAVE ARCHERY EXPERIENCEHigh school graduate (or GED) required college graduate or some college preferredFluent in EnglishPrior retail or sales experience and cash handling preferredPrevious customer service experience preferredKnowledge about Hunting Fishing or Shooting sports is preferredLegally eligible to work in a firearms environmentMust be 18 years or olderCertificate of Eligibility RequiredGood communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSResponsible for loading/unloading trucks lifting up to 50 pounds without assistanceMust be able to use both hands when handling a firearmMust be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programsMust be able to stand sit bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shiftTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSOccasional travel may be required (approximately 5% of the time-participating in events training seminars etc.)HOURSHours-varied-OT may be requiredRequests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periodsTurners Outdoorsman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
