Position Title:Hospitalist – ARNP/PA

Location: UF Spanish Plaines (formerly UF The Villages) and/or UF LeesburgSchedule: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM | 3 nights on / 5 nights off

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Hospitalist ARNP/PA to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive, team-oriented clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on patient and organizational needs. The ideal candidate is a “go-getter” who can step into dynamic situations, collaborate closely with colleagues, and effectively problem-solve in real time.

Candidates must be either new graduates or have at least one (1) year of hospitalist experience. In accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, all applicants must provide current-year case logs.

Primary ResponsibilitiesIn addition to standard APRN/PA duties, responsibilities include:

Perform admissions, comprehensive assessments, and History & Physicals (H&Ps)Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standardsRespond to and manage floor calls from nursing staff for established patientsCollaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plansOrder, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imagingDiagnose conditions and communicate findings with patients and familiesPrescribe and administer treatments and medications as appropriateCollaborate with Rapid Response Teams, including placing orders and performing bedside evaluations when neededComplete Emergency Department (ED) consults to support appropriate diversions and facilitate safe return to point of origin when admission is not requiredConduct patient experience rounds and discharge visits to ensure understanding of care plans and promote optimal outcomesCoordinate care with Population Health teams to support continuity and preventative interventionsReview and address Health Information Exchange (HIE) feeds to assist in early identification and intervention for ED-utilizing patientsCommunicate effectively with Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) partners to ensure seamless handoffs for patients being admitted to or discharged from the hospitalCoordinate specialty referrals as appropriateProvide preventive care counseling, including diet, hygiene, and disease preventionAdminister vaccines and inoculations as neededReport deaths and communicable diseases in accordance with state regulationsCollaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care deliveryPerform other duties as assigned by leadership to support clinical and operational needsQualificationsActive and unrestricted Florida license (ARNP or PA)Florida DEA licenseCurrent National Board CertificationBLS CertificationRecent hospital-based experience (within the past 12 months preferred)Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skillsBenefitsMalpractice coverage (including tail)Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceLife insuranceShort-term and Long-term disability401(k) retirement plan
