Support the planning and design of future Parks and Recreation development projects.Inventory and analysis of existing park facilities.Gathering of stakeholder and park user input.Notation of usage patterns opportunities and constraints. Conceptual park & trail designAttendance and participation in project design meetings.Research into national/regional trends for the purpose of discovering and vetting future park elements and programming opportunities. Creation of park master plans for existing Sioux Falls Park properties.Attend and participate in project management and stake holder relationship functions.This is a 2026 summer internship.Minimum Qualifications Recent graduate or currently enrolled in an accredited landscape architecture program.Must have an interest in the design of parks public spaces trails and multi-use recreational facilities. Must understand landscape architecture design principles including land use planning recreational programming site design and master planning.Must have strong research and analytical skills. Proficiency or exposure to Adobe design software ArcGIS and AutoCAD is preferred. Ability to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others.Strong verbal and written communication skills including creation of project reports and public speaking.
