• Asphalt Field Level 1 & 2 VDOT Certifications (required)

• Nuclear Radiation Safety Certification (or ability to obtain within 1 week of hire - online training available)

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience (3-5 years preferred)

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Asphalt materials and components

  • Government regulations related to product quality

  • Laboratory and field testing protocols

    
    

• Perform daily quality control testing to ensure compliance with project specifications and federal, state, and local regulations

• Develop and follow quality control procedures for asphalt field operations

• Coordinate with government agencies on quality standards and compliance

• Conduct field testing using established scientific protocols

• Collaborate with roller operators and field managers to ensure product quality

• Review and analyze reports from DOT and consulting firms

• Perform:

  • Core testing

  • Nuclear gauge testing

• Communicate results efficiently to project teams and site leadership

• Complete additional duties as assigned
