AssemblerCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)is currently seeking an Assembler (Level B)to join the Propulsion Team in North Charleston South Carolina on variable shift.Position Responsibilities:Perform routine production assembly operations on structural parts mechanical assemblies sub-assemblies and equipment using manual or automated assembly toolsModel a culture of One Team Pride and OwnershipPartner with Integrated Build Teams (IBTs) and Team Leaders to mitigate performance risks using Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) methodologiesIdentify roadblocks and production constraints; escalate unresolved issues through open and clear communicationUse KPI and BPS principles to improve production flow and work environmentSupport overtime as required to meet customer commitmentsParticipate in Lean Manufacturing Systems (LMS) and 5S activitiesSupport teammates by providing cross-training and mentoring to improve overall team performanceBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):1 years of experience in Aerospace Fabrication or ManufacturingAbility to work variable shiftAbility to pass and complete fall protection training and work with heights of seventy feet or more and not exceed weight restrictionsAbility to support frequent standing walking lifting and working at heights with or without equipment assistancePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):1 years of experience in aviationDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.ShiftThis position is for a variable shift (shift 4).Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time.
